++2:0 AGAINST JSG MOSEL HUNSRÜCK: B II CELEBRATES SEASON OPENER VICTORY – KLEISS SCORES TWICE++

B-Juniors Performance League | Matchday 1 | JSG Mosel Hunsrück vs Ahrweiler BC II 0:2 (0:0)

Last Saturday, both hosts JSG Mosel Hunsrück and the guests from the district capital in the Ahr Valley had a problem of quantity rather than quality. Both teams started the match with only one substitute player each. The quality, on the other hand, was absolutely fine. Both teams put on a good performance on the artificial turf field in Löf. For the ABC, it was a perfect start after two goals from Nelson Kleiss in the second half.

In the biting cold, the guests had more possession from the start, but struggled greatly with the combined team's strong pressing. Both opponents had several chances to score in the first 40 minutes, but ultimately the sides were changed goalless.

The team of Moritz Feigk and Alfred Sahm pressed for the decision in the second half. When Nelson Kleiss, who had already scored six goals in the autumn round, scored the 0-1 (73') lead with a pass from Enno Theis and shortly thereafter increased it to 0-2 (76') after a fine individual effort, the team had secured their first three points.

Moritz Feigk spoke of a "solid and decent performance" after the game. This will also be needed next Thursday when the postponed matchday 2 game against JSG Vulkaneifel Kottenheim II is scheduled.
