++ABC REMAINS UNDEFEATED IN PRE-SEASON PLAY++

Ahrweiler BC remains undefeated in their fifth test match. The ABC earned a 2-2 (1-2) draw against Oberliga third-place team Siegburger SV and continues their preparation without a loss. Both goals were scored by Almir Porca: First, he scored with a direct free kick from 20 meters, and a little later, he increased the lead to 2-0 after a setup by Mohannad Saed. The ABC clearly dominated the first half but failed to extend their lead further. "We should have been leading 4-0," was the sentiment after the final whistle.

Siegburg pulled one back just before halftime; in the second half, ABC struggled to create opportunities and conceded the equalizer from a corner kick shortly before the final whistle. Coach Mike Wunderlich nevertheless offered a positive assessment: “We’re on the right track and actually took another step forward in the first 45 minutes compared to the weekend’s tournament in Monheim. We’re very satisfied with the first three weeks.” On Saturday, ABC faces its next tough test against Oberliga side FV Engers.
