++B JUNIORS END 'MINI-DROUGHT' WITH 2-1 AWAY WIN++

B-Juniors Performance League | Matchday 4 | JSG Maifeld vs Ahrweiler BC II 0:2 (0:0)

And there it is, the long-awaited third win after two recent losses. The B II juniors won 1-2 (0-2) away against JSG Maifeld on the fourth matchday of the Leistungsklasse, keeping pace with the top two teams in the table with two wins and two losses, placing them third.

The district capital's youth team, for whom C-juniors Noah Weidenbach and Lukman Ajou were also in action on the grass field in Polch on Wednesday evening, presented themselves as the more proactive team in the first half. Jamal El-Toufaili (26') with a header and Riad Bajcinca (35'), who once again demonstrated his dead-ball prowess with a free-kick goal, ensured a deserved 0-2 lead at halftime.

In the second half, qualities in defense were more in demand. And once again, as was the case before the halftime whistle, coach Moritz Feigk's team convinced and rarely allowed the now more offensively determined hosts any actions behind the defensive line. Even the goal to make it 1-2 (80'+4) in stoppage time could not prevent the points from going to the Jung-ABCler's account, making the score 4-6. "The boys were rewarded for their performance," said head coach Moritz Feigk, satisfied with his team's performance, which will be facing JSG Mosel-Hunsrück at home in Kripp next Saturday.
