++B-JUNIORS QUALIFY FOR THE PERFORMANCE LEAGUE++

With a 4-1 (2-1) home victory against Grafschafter JSG, the B II juniors of Ahrweiler BC ended the 2022 football year and thus the autumn round in the Kreisklasse last Saturday. The team of coaches Saskia Oebel-Noack and Andre Noack, who are leaving at the end of the year, were able to play without pressure against the yellow-black competition from Grafschaft, as qualification for the Leistungsklasse had already been achieved the day before through the results of other competitors.

On the artificial turf field in Meckenheim-Ersdorf, the ABC youth took a 1-0 lead (8') through an own goal. William Gläsmann increased the lead to 2-0 (13') with a spectacular 17-meter shot into the corner. Even the connecting goal by Ebrima Demba (32') could not divert the young ABC players from their path.

As in the first section of the game, the ABC also dictated the play in the second 40 minutes. Adam El Abdi (59' / Photo) with a great solo run down the left attacking side and Caspar Sebastian in the final minute increased the lead to a final, deserved 4:1 (2:1) victory.

The performance of the Red-White junior footballers in the ten league games of the Kreisklasse earned the team 21 points and a goal difference of 31:11, qualifying them for the Leistungsklasse in second place. Their only league defeat of the season came away, a 2-1 loss against league winners Heimersheim. Summer signing Nelson Kleiss has scored the most goals with six league strikes.

As early as next week, the current coaching duo, who are moving back to the top-tier women's league, will hand over the reins to a new coaching tandem.
