On Friday, the second and third teams of the E-Juniors resumed league play after the winter break. In both cases, the “Second Team” coached by Thomas Lorenz and Michael Hildebrandt and the “Third Team” coached by training coach Simon Grüninger each delivered a good performance in their respective league divisions.
The younger E II-Juniors fell behind 0:1 after an initially balanced game against SV Remagen II with a long-range shot across half of the field; thereafter, they gradually got the game under control, acted with composure and won deservedly 8:3 (3:1). Tom Hildebrandt scored three goals, Benedikt Kritz twice and Anton Appl, Luis Klasen and Cihan Dalmus simply scored. A successful start after the outstanding autumn season with 24 points in eight games. On Friday, the JSG Bad Breisig's second team will take on SGL Heimersheim II, who won their debut match 3:1.
The newly formed 3rd team (photo) of the E-Juniors took on Grafschafter JSG II on Friday evening in the first round of the district league. Despite the cold temperatures, both teams put up a fierce battle on a tactical level, which ended in a 3:3 (1:2) draw after 50 minutes. Although the youth players from the district town were ahead 1:2 and 2:3 after goals by Fabio Lemling (2) and Ibrahim Sabotic, the strong Grafschafter team managed to equalize in each case. Had not ABC goalkeeper Luca Sommer not shown several good saves, a victory for the home team of the ninth would have been quite possible. At the end of the match, in addition to a point for both teams, the conclusion remained that the preparation phase was well utilized. Next weekend it is time for a match against the local 2nd team in Westum.
