"Future Region Ahr" donates participation medals
Last Saturday, an exciting match day for the F-Juniors took place on the central pitch in Bad Neuenahr. The young talents born in 2015 and 2016 met for thrilling encounters in the Funino game system, accompanied by brilliant sunshine and pleasant temperatures.
A total of eight fields were set up, populated by the teams of SG Westum, SG Berg, SG Heimersheim, SG Brohl/Lützing, and the host Ahrweiler BC. The atmosphere was characterized by the joy of playing and the enthusiasm of the little ball artists, who were on the field with full commitment and passion.
The games were characterized by high intensity and great fair play. The young players showed their skills and thrilled the spectators with technically accomplished actions and courageous plays.
As a reward for their efforts, all participating young footballers received a well-deserved medal, donated by "Zukunftsregion Ahr," in recognition of their performance and commitment.
The match day was not only a success on the field, but also a wonderful example of the joy of soccer and the sense of community in youth soccer. We would like to thank everyone involved for this successful day and look forward to more exciting matches on the field.
As a supporter of the event is also the recently founded association Zukunftsregion Ahr e.V. Among the broad range of activities that the association was entrusted with at its founding, in addition to accompanying and networking key reconstruction activities, is also the promotion of cultural and sports events throughout the district. The event was therefore a good fit for CEO Christoph Klötzer and gives nearly 110 children along the Ahr (and beyond) the opportunity to compete in a playful competition.
"We brainstormed together what a contribution from Zukunftsregion Ahr could look like, and in the end, we came up with the idea of reviving the beautiful tradition of presenting every child with a participation medal. It was a natural fit to start with the youngest children in the hope that similar events can soon take place again at the many other sports facilities in the region that are still under reconstruction."
