The F-juniors also kicked off the season last weekend. And much was new – actually, everything. Funino is the new magic word that is supposed to lift football in Germany to the Olympic heights in the future. Four mini-goals on a mini-field in a "three versus three" mode without a goalkeeper. It seems complicated and takes some getting used to – and it does. However, as could be clearly observed last Sunday during the match day in Bad Breisig, it's not for the kids. They showed joy of playing and fun with the ball. The young footballers have internalized the new form of play in the blink of an eye, depending on how long they've been involved with it. The coaches of Ahrweiler BC welcome the new form of play in the F-junior category after their first Funino practical experience, even if there is additional organizational effort required. And the kids also showed with their fun and engagement that Funino is a cool thing.
