++F-JUNIORS WIN INDOOR TOURNAMENT IN BENDORF++

The Ahrweiler BC's older F-Junior team celebrated their victory in the U9 indoor cup on Sunday, hosted by TV Mülhofen in Bendorf. The young ABC players went through the preliminary round without losing a point or conceding a goal, and then navigated the playoffs from the quarterfinals onwards without conceding a single goal. In the final, the team from the Ahr Valley won 1-0 against VfR Eintracht Koblenz.

Team head coach Darijo Matosevic's team started the traditional invitational tournament of TV Mülhofen with two 2-0 victories against JSG Herdorf II and TuS Mosella Schweich, followed by a 3-0 win against JSG Limestal and a 5-0 victory against TuS Montabaur to secure the clear group win.

The "Boys in Red" shaped the quarter-finals just as confidently in their 3-0 victory against the best third-placed team, JSG Kreuzberg.

The exciting semifinal match against JSG Kaisersesch had to be decided by a penalty shootout after a goalless regulation time. And here too, the young Kreisstadt kickers kept themselves unharmed. ABC goalkeeper Julian Szudra crowned his strong performance of the day with two saved penalties, while his teammates Leart Jashanica and David Matosevic converted confidently, leading the team to a 2-0 victory and advancing to the final.

There, they managed to confirm their previously strong performances with another good showing. Against VfR Eintracht Koblenz, who eliminated TuS Koblenz in the semi-finals, Moritz Winnen scored the decisive goal for a 1-0 victory. Both the statistics (7 games, 7 wins, 16:0 goals) and the performances on the Bendorf sports hall floor of the Wilhelm-Remy School demonstrate another great showing by this team.

Bravo boys - Top!!
