The boys of the U13 II team, nearly complete with only two of the 20-player squad having to withdraw due to illness, gathered on Friday evening in the ASB multi-purpose room on the former artificial turf at the Apollinaris Stadium to bid farewell to the 2024 football year at a St. Nicholas/Christmas party.
With many parents present, the event became a special conclusion, and the coaching team, consisting of Goran Strk and Alexander Blauhut, took the opportunity to thank their team. By winning the championship in the autumn league, the team secured promotion to the Leistungsklasse (performance league), which is not only a sporting success but also the result of hard work, ambition, and impressive team spirit, according to Strk/Blauhut.
The coaching duo, along with camp supervisor Yvonne Blauhut, received a heartfelt gift from the parents as a token of appreciation for the trio's dedicated efforts. But it wasn't just the coaches who were honored – the boys, who are among the positive surprises for the district capital's club this season, were also presented with a backpack from the club outfitter capellisport, sponsored by Gartenbau Jennrich and filled with little surprises. 🎁
The gratitude of Ahrweiler BC runs through the entire club, starting with the parents, who, as an integral part of the team off the field, have significantly contributed to development and sporting success. The harmonious cooperation was duly honored at this festive celebration, and the outlook is optimistic for the winter break and beyond. ⚽🌟
