U10 loses to JSG Hohe Eifel Adenau II to start the season

U10 I Ahrweiler BC vs JSG Hohe Eifel Adenau II I 3:4 (1:1)

The U10 team of Ahrweiler BC kicked off the new season with a loss early Friday evening. In their first league match, the young Red-Whites were defeated 3-4 (1-1) on their home turf by JSG Hohe Eifel Adenau II.

From the beginning, the younger E-juniors of ABC dominated the game. With a courageous performance and pleasing combination play, Darijo Matosevic and Alem Porca's team pushed for the opening goal. Their daring performance was rewarded in the 18th minute when Rejan Ajeti scored the deserved 1-0 lead. However, the joy did not last long – almost immediately after, the confidently playing guests equalized.

After the break, the boys from Hohe Eifel took command. Within a few minutes, they used their strongest phase, increased their lead to 1-3, and thus turned the game on its head. However, the hosts' morale was strong: With a spectacular long-range shot from Bleard Blenishti (36th minute) and a directly converted free-kick from Leando Tabaku (38th minute), ABC impressively fought their way back into the game.

However, shortly before the end, the dream of a perfect start to the season was shattered. A cleanly executed counter-attack brought the visitors their decisive fourth goal. This resulted in a bitter but not undeserved defeat against a strong team from the Nürburgring area.

Despite the setback, it was evident that the ABC team possesses plenty of quality and morale. The upcoming weekend offers the next opportunity to pick up the first points of the season in the away game against JSG Mittelahr Dernau.

Unsuccessful Season Opener for Ahrweiler BC U10 II

U10 II I Grafschafter JSG vs Ahrweiler BC I 1:4 (1:2)

The team of Victoria Einert and Joe Yankey could hardly have had a better start to the new season on Saturday. The ABC juniors traveled to Vettelschoß for their first league match, where the Grafschafter JSG II was waiting.

The match started anything but easy: the hosts took advantage of one of their chances to take an early lead. However, the young Red-Whites were not thrown off their game. With a lot of effort and a strong team performance, the team fought their way back into the game. Henrik Stefener scored the deserved equalizer with his goal, before an unfortunate own goal by Grafschaft gave ABC a 2-1 lead before the break.

Buoyed by this success, the team played with confidence after halftime. Sure of possession and passing, with a clear plan and a great deal of joy in playing, the young ABClers put pressure on the home team. It was Stefener again who extended the lead with his second goal. Luis Bräuer finally scored the final goal, making it 4-1 after excellent work from his teammates.

The cheers after the final whistle were loud – not just for the away victory, but also for the way the team performed. Commitment, passion, and team spirit were the keys to success in Vettelschoß.

Now the team needs to carry this momentum forward. On the upcoming matchday, the ABC juniors will host JSG Westum II at home – and aim to build on their strong performance from the season opener.
