D IV celebrates first win of the season
On Friday evening, the D IV juniors managed to win a very entertaining and exciting match away against FC Plaidt III with a score of 4-5 (2-2). This was the first win of the season for the team coached by Goran Strk and Alexander Blauhut, following an initial 0-7 loss against JSG Brohl II in their league opener. After switching sides at a tied score of 2-2, the boys from the Ahr secured their first three points in the final phase, coming back from a 4-3 deficit. Strk/Blauhut were happy for their players: "It's great that the boys were rewarded for their good training performances." The goals for the team, which is currently in 8th place in the D 7 Kreisklasse, were scored by: Labinot Gerguri (2), Joel Schmitz, Marc Wachsmuth, and Amar Ljubijankic. The team will continue with away games against JFV Zissen II on Tuesday and JSG Adenau II on Friday.
