FIGHTING SPIRIT AND TEAMWORK: ABC'S U14 SECURES A POINT AGAINST THE LEAGUE LEADERS

Spectators witnessed an exciting district league match on Saturday when the Ahrweiler BC U14 team faced the league leaders, JSG Vulkaneifel Ettringen. The course of the game differed significantly compared to the previous matchday, where Fabian Lorca and Karl Heinz Classen's team secured a convincing 7-0 victory against JSG Vordereifel Mayen. Thus, the young ABC players are currently in the middle of the table with four points after three games.

This time, the district town's youth were largely on the defensive. Our boys' attacking efforts were often thwarted by the strong pressure from the opponent, who had started the season with three wins and finished the previous season as runner-up.

However, despite these challenges, Lewin Nazifi managed to score the equalizer in the 57th minute, making it 1-1. This point gained might have been surprising to many, but it was a testament to great team spirit and fighting will.

ABC coach Fabian Lorca commented on the game after the final whistle: "The boys fought with everything they had. Both teams invested a lot in this intense game." This result shows that our team is capable of holding its own against strong opponents and asserting itself against any team.

The upcoming challenge is already awaiting our U14 team as they compete at home against VfR Koblenz on Saturday at 12:00 PM. VfR has earned one point from their first three games so far and will surely do everything they can to increase their point total. Every point in this league has to be fought for hard.

We are excited about the upcoming game and will continue to support our U14 with full backing!
