++ PASSIONATE PERFORMANCE OF THE U17 ENDS 1:1 AGAINST BREMM ++

A performance-based draw in the top match: The Ahrweiler BC U17 team drew 1-1 with the JSG Bremm on Saturday on the artificial turf in Bachem. Both teams showed a lot of commitment, passion, and footballing quality over the entire 80-minute match – in the end they deservedly shared the points.

In the first half, speed and the ability to create chances dominated, but on both sides the final third lacked the necessary precision. After the halftime break, Luis Bures (pictured) gave the ABC youth team a dream lead with a direct converted free kick (45). However, the table-topping team from Bremm showed no impression and, following an unfortunate incident in the Ahrweiler penalty area, equalized.

In the final phase, the team led by coach Joe Yankey once again pressed for victory, but Ben Megow missed the target on goal. Thus, a fair point sharing was achieved, with both teams being able to live with it.

Next Saturday, ABC, in fifth place in the table, will travel to third-placed SB Mülheim-Kärlich II.
