Just like the younger and older D-youth teams, the 3rd team – a mix of both age groups – has successfully mastered the preliminary round of the indoor district championship. Last weekend, the team coached by Moritz and Christopher Feigk kept the tension high in the Mendig Realschule sports hall until the very last match. It was only through a 1:1 draw in the final group game against JSG Maifeld-Elztal III that the team secured qualification for the intermediate round.
The coaching duo was extremely satisfied with the spirited and dedicated performance of their charges as well as a look at the league table. After six games, the D III team achieved a solid 11 points with a goal difference of 7:3. Well done, boys!
