The youth department of Ahrweiler BC is starting the 2024/2025 season full of anticipation and drive. Our C III juniors are raring to go to prove themselves in the Kreisliga and get the most out of themselves. The team, led by head coach Goran Strk and assistant coach Alexander Blauhut, and supported by Yvonne Blauhut, has set high goals. "Our goal is to compete at the top of the Kreisliga from the very start. With the team spirit and ambition of our boys, that's achievable," says Alexander Blauhut full of confidence. 🏆
Our C III juniors already made a splash last season as the core of the D II team, securing a strong third place in the performance league. We want to continue this positive development both on and off the field in the new season. 🌟
In recent weeks, the team has been intensely preparing for an optimal start to the new season. The roster consists of 14 highly motivated players who made a splash last season as D II. Particularly pleasing: there are four internal new additions who will bring fresh energy to the team. "The guys will certainly be an asset to the team," Blauhut continued. 😊
Even though there were some departures, the coaching staff is optimistic: "We have a strong unit that always presents itself as a team and never gives up, no matter how the result looks," emphasizes head coach Goran Strk. 💪
The preseason is in full swing, including additional fitness and coordination training sessions. The dress rehearsal will take place on August 23rd at the Vito Cup in Kripp – a real test of endurance before things get serious on August 31st with the home game against JSG Ahrtal Insul. 🎯 A few days prior, the team will also play an away friendly match against JSG Remagen.
The upcoming opponents in the Kreisklasse are also not to be underestimated: TuS Oberwinter, Grafschafter JSG, JSG Hohe Eifel Herresbach, and JSG Zissen await exciting duels. However, the coaching team is confident: "We want to go full throttle from the start, and with this team, that is absolutely achievable!" 🚀
With a strong coaching and support team, as well as the support of the parents, our C III juniors are optimally positioned – on and off the field. "What is personally important to me is that the boys always behave fairly," emphasizes Alexander Blauhut. 🏅
