PULLER MEETS THE MARK – U15 CLIMBS TO 4TH PLACE

The U15 team of Ahrweiler BC celebrated an important 1-0 victory on Saturday in their home game on the 4th matchday of the Rheinlandliga against TuS Mosella Schweich. Both teams had a decent start to the season, and an intense match developed from the beginning. ABC started well, impressing with varied attacks through side changes and diagonal passes. In the 12th minute, Oskar Obliers was fouled in the penalty area, and Joel Pullera confidently converted the resulting penalty to make it 1-0. After that, it went back and forth, but the defense of the district capital remained stable despite substitutions due to injuries - the two central defenders Jakob Dietzmann and Niels Piegeler had to be substituted. After the break, the game became rougher, with the referee showing eight yellow cards in the second half. Both teams had further chances, but no more goals were scored. The coaching duo Senad Sukic and Benjamin Ibrahimovic spoke of a great team performance after the match: "It can continue like this." The next opponent is JSG Hunsrück-Mittelrhein – currently in twelfth place.
