Our youngest E-juniors achieved a great 8-4 (3-3) victory last night in the district cup against JSG Niederzissen III.
In a thrilling match against an evenly matched opponent, our boys put on an outstanding performance. Despite a nervous start and a few unnecessary goals conceded in the first half, they didn't let it get them down and completely turned the game around in the second half.
Particularly noteworthy is Eris Zogaj's hat-trick, who significantly contributed to the victory with a total of five goals. However, the other goal scorers, Younes El-Bayyari, Deon Ibrahimi, and Shayan Aslani, also impressed with great plays.
We are proud of the entire team and the coaching staff Sarah Preußner and Dennis Preußner. This victory is a great start to the season and shows the potential of our young talents.
Our head coach Sarah Preußner says: "We are incredibly proud of the kids because Niederzissen is an opponent on an absolutely equal footing. The children were very nervous in the locker room for the first competitive match, but they did well on the field. In the first half, we conceded 3 goals without pressure from passes across the goal. That was a bit annoying because that's exactly what we wanted to avoid at the back. We need to work on this and fix it in training."
