Last Wednesday, our U11 team from Ahrweiler BC, already confirmed as league champions, played away against Grafschafter JSG. In a thrilling match, our young talents narrowly lost 4:3 (1:2). 🌟
Our U11 started strong and went into halftime with a 1:2 lead through goals from Louis Kleiss and Tom Hildebrandt. 💪⚽️
But after halftime, the Grafschafter JSG came out of the locker room improved and put our youth under pressure. Two quick goals in the 28th and 31st minutes turned the game around. Although Tom Hildebrandt managed to equalize, the flow of the game was disrupted and the opponents consistently played for the decisive moment, which eventually came in the 45th minute. A deserved victory for Black/Yellow. ⚫️🟡
Despite the loss, we look optimistically toward the upcoming district championship final. On Saturday, June 8th, our U11 team will face the highly regarded JSG Nickenich. The game will take place in Mertloch.
