++U23 TRAINING KICK-OFF: FRESH START IN BAD NEUENAHR++

Monday evening, Mittelplatz Bad Neuenahr. While elsewhere the highlights of the U21 European Championship and the Club World Cup are still being discussed, at Ahrweiler BC the ball is already rolling again – more precisely: with the U23. As the club's first team, they started their summer preparation, now in the Kreisliga A. After relegation: a fresh start. New coaching team, new faces, new direction.

Head coach Ricardo Ribeiro and co-coach Tobias Roth, along with team coordinator Chris Breuer, led the first training session. Around 25 players, including 10 of the 11 new signings, completed an approximately two-hour opening training. The conclusion was positive. "The guys were motivated, it was a focused start. We are satisfied," said Ribeiro.

Until the start of the competitive season in the district cup (August 3rd/4th), there are seven test matches as well as the BMW Baum Cup in Leimersdorf. The preparation is supplemented by functional strength training in the Eckendorf Power Barn and team events – a phase of development, both football-wise and interpersonally. Not spectacular, but necessary.
