Away win for the U13! Last weekend, our U13 team secured a 1-0 (0-0) victory in a hard-fought match against JFV Schieferland.
The team started the game well, hardly allowing anything defensively, and could rely on their keeper Kian Backenecker during a big chance for the hosts. Benjamin Faltin was unlucky with a shot that hit the side netting. Shortly before halftime, Ioan Suru failed to convert a penalty kick, thwarted by the hosts' strongly reacting keeper.
In the second half, ABC used the strong wind and kept JFV Schieferland under constant pressure. Shortly before the end, the deserved goal finally came: Seifadin Abdul Kadar scored the final 0-1 result after a corner kick. In the final play of the game, we had the necessary luck when the hosts hit the post.
Coach Julian Hilberath was satisfied: "That was a deserved victory for our team. The boys showed a strong performance and were rewarded for their effort."
After this victory, our U13 team is in 12th place in the standings. With three matchdays remaining, they are six points behind a non-relegation spot.
