In the district league match on matchday 18, FC Rot-Weiß Koblenz II and the U14 team of Ahrweiler BC faced each other last Friday. The guests from the Ahr valley dominated the first half and took a 2-0 lead through Noah Richter (photo for illustration) in the 8th and 20th minutes.
Despite a higher lead that would have been justified by the course of the game, the visitors allowed their opponents to catch up. Koblenz scored to make it a one-goal deficit in the 28th minute and equalized in the 50th minute to make the final score 2-2.
Trainer Senad Sukic was critical: "Our 2011-born players are very advanced technically and tactically. All they lack is the composure to finish games like this and not strengthen the opponent."
The U14 team of Ahrweiler BC will face the second-placed JSG Vulkaneifel on Monday.
