Under 15s Win Test Match Against TUS Koblenz II

The Ahrweiler BC U15 Rhineland League squad won a test match against league rivals TuS Koblenz II with a score of 1:2 (0:0) on Sunday in front of an away crowd at the training grounds in Oberwerth.

Despite higher ball possession and more chances to score, our ABC youngsters had to settle for a 0-0 at halftime. However, within the first 5 minutes of the second half, both teams managed to find the back of the net (1-1). Lorian Diabi (pictured, right) scored for Ahrweiler BC; his second goal a few minutes later was disallowed for offside.

Later, attacking player Simon Gros was able to claim a rebound and scored from close range for the winning goal (1:2).

Finally, ABC goalkeeper Kai Wenzel also stood out, as he was called up to the U15 as a younger player for the second half of the season and was able to celebrate his debut today.

U15 head coach Oliver Johann Ewy is enthusiastic: "We are in the middle of preparations for the second half of the Rheinlandliga season. Our clear dominance today has shown that we have made the right decisions and that intensive training performance is being rewarded." (Oliver Johann Ewy)
