++U15 WINNING STREAK BROKEN: 0:4 AGAINST RW KOBLENZ++

Across the preliminary and intermediate rounds, our U15 juniors were able to secure seven consecutive victories, demonstrating a strong performance. In yesterday's top match against RW Koblenz, the Ahrweiler talents had to accept a 0:4 (0:3) defeat.

The tough game against league rivals RW Koblenz already gained momentum in the 7th minute, after Serge Badagbon (14) took a ball to the elbow, leading to a penalty and the quick 0-1. Visibly unsettled by the visitors' early lead, the Ahrweiler goal was breached twice more within the next 8 minutes. Although both teams engaged in an intense back-and-forth until the end, the 2009s of Ahrweiler BC could not overcome the deep deficit.

"We didn't deliver the performance we're used to in the first 15 minutes, and in doing so, we put significant obstacles in our own way against a very clever opponent. Even though this defeat hurts, we remain in 2nd place in the placement round and are claiming the top of the table," said U15 head coach Oliver Johann Ewy.

Next weekend, the next top match of the Rheinlandliga second half of the season is against league leaders Mülheim-Kärlich.
