++ U19 AHRWEILER BC: FIGHTING SPIRIT ONLY AFTER THE BREAK – BUT TOO LATE ++

The U19 team of Ahrweiler BC is still waiting for their second win of the season after matchday 7 of the Rheinlandliga. In their away game in Kobern-Gondorf, Maxwell Lunga and Rainard Schulz's team suffered a clear 0-5 (0-4) defeat against JSG Untermosel – a deserved loss at that margin.

From the start, the guests couldn't get into the game, appearing jittery and lacking control. Only rarely did it show that they were a team from the Rheinlandliga. The hosts consistently exploited this passivity and were already leading 4-0 at halftime. "We lacked the basics – effort, will, conviction," summarized team coordinator Markus Tempel, dejected.

After switching sides, the ABC juniors showed improvement, displaying more commitment and body language, but the game was long decided by then. They were also denied a consolation goal. The discrepancy between committed training performances and sobering away appearances remains a mystery.

All eyes are now on the coming weekend when fourth-placed SV Trier-Irsch visits Bad Neuenahr – another chance to initiate the urgently needed turnaround.
