The Kreissparkasse Ahrweiler plays a very special role as a sponsor of Ahrweiler BC for the traditional club on the Ahr. The institution under public law, founded in 1865, is not only one of the main sponsors of the Rheinlandliga club but also a long-standing and reliable partner that has stood by the district capital club for over 40 years, even during lean sporting times.
"The ABC is a flagship of Ahrweiler. An organization we are proud of," said Dieter Zimmermann, Chairman of the Board of Kreissparkasse Ahrweiler, during his opening speech for the exhibition "100 Years of Ahrweiler BC" in March 2020 at the KSK's business premises. A compliment that the football club, with over 700 members, gladly returns: "The partnership between ABC and Kreissparkasse, always based on trust, has a long tradition," says Frank Schönherr (2nd Chairman / Finance), who also points to the KSK's regionally focused commitment to sports, culture, and social and environmental projects. "Kreissparkasse is also a member of 'ABC 4 Future', the job and networking platform for active members and sponsors of Ahrweiler BC."
